I've been running forums for about 5 years now and there is always a dip in traffic in the summer. It usually starts in April/May and dips to it's lowest point in June. People get busy or are traveling. It usually starts to pick back up around July/August and the winter is the best since people are more indoors.

Gas prices may have some effect as well but overall all my sites are a little slow right now.
