Default How to Remove Backup Camera 2010 F150

I damage my tailgate and replacing with a tailagte without a camera. I want to take my OEM camera from my Tailgate and install it on the replacement tailgate. Can anyone share how to remove the OEM camera from my tailgate? I'm afraid to just pry off the emblem

the only thing i could find...but i thought 2010's had the camera in the handle....seems common for the tabs to break on the ford emblem so you may need to replace or tape/glue it back on..

just carefully pry the emblem off the base using your fingers or a small plastic tool. It just pops off but yes the tabs will probably break so you will need to get a replacement emblem from your dealer, which should cost less than $30.

Sometimes you can get lucky and save the tabs to where it will go back on but not in most cases.

I have a camera emblem if you break yours. Let me know. It has no broken tabs. Its just missing a clip.

Replacing the ovals on my truck and just want to double check - I've seen many people note that the tabs will break when you remove the oval from the camera bezel - just the tabs on the oval correct? "Tabs" within the bezel (pictured) should hold up fine right? Thanks!

You are correct. In fact typically you can get the emblem off and even though the nameplate tabs crack or break they usually will have enough meat left to hold it in place onto the base housing.
