I took care of mine, before they became an eyesore. Used some vinyl wrap in black non shiny carbon fiber. Very easy to do. Could also use matte black. Chrome or stainless just seems wrong to me.

Did you take off the buttons on the door? Do they just pop off? I've been thinking of doing that to mine in satin black.

Anyone know the part # for the oem 2015-18 flat black (non shiny) pillar covers ? Not sure which models come stock with the non shiny covers.

^^ I did the same thing ^^

Wrap from Amazon was cheap, easy to use and wears quite well actually. Three + years and still looks good.

Got a link to what you purchased, I just checked Amazon and there's dozens of different types.

Yes, I did, it's not hard to remove once you get the cover off. There's a pdf somewhere I saved on how to remove the pillar cover, I'll try to find it.
Once you get the cover off, it's pretty self evident.

Found it; hope it works for you

On another edit, you don't have to go any further than remove the cover, and pop the keypad out. I left the weather stripping loose, and rebolted the cover back on with a couple bolts, removed the weather stripping on the rear cover, and installed the vinyl over both covers at the same time, and slit it between the covers. Tuck the other edges around behind where the stripping will cover it.

Robert, it was either 3M or Vvivid that I used.

There is a guy on a Facebook group that sells pre-cut paint protection film for the glossy pillars. Its around $70 for a set of 4. The adhesive fills in all the scratches and swirls and looks amazing!

Just looked up the procedure for removing the 09-14 door pillars. Effing things are glued on. Guess I'll just leave them be.
