Hi gloss black door pillars scracthes ?

My 18 KR door pillars look like someone sanded them .. they seem to be hi gloss plastic,, I tried wax didnít seem to do much
is this just the nature of the beast ?
i see the stainless or chrome covers but not sure that would look too good

They can be swapped out pretty easily for the no gloss pillars. I just did mine the opposite way and put the gloss ones on my truck. Just pull the window weather stripping away from the door and unscrew them.

I kept the non gloss pillars since I'll probably switch back to them once these get too scratched up, I thought I'd like the gloss pillars more since they look more "premium" but the scratches make it not worth it.

Someone was selling a wrap pre-cut for them. I cant remember who or were but maybe they will see the post.

My truck came with the dull black pillars and I decided to get some piano black precut stick on covers and they looked great...........for about a year then the combination of sun bleaching and being scratched by all the road debris/sand inherent with driving they now look like crap.

I guess if there's any good to come out of it, the oem dull will still look brand new when I peel the others off lol.

I rubbed mine by hand with rubbing compound last weekend. It HELPED, but I can still see some scratches. I got them pretty good, and then ceramic coated over them. hopefully that helps them hold up a bit longer.

I took care of mine, before they became an eyesore. Used some vinyl wrap in black non shiny carbon fiber. Very easy to do. Could also use matte black. Chrome or stainless just seems wrong to me.

^^ I did the same thing ^^

Wrap from Amazon was cheap, easy to use and wears quite well actually. Three + years and still looks good.
