I believe scratches shouldn't affect it providing you can live with still seeing them unless you go 5% then you'd probably see them at an angle at most.

As for racks, ours is pretty straight forward that we build.

1 1/2" with three maybe 18" vertical bars on each side window opening in the middle. Unless you just do bars all the way across.

But for 150$ I'd rather pay 140$ keep the truck clean and get all my windows 'privatized'!

Great debate now.. 5 percent.. or 20 percent.

Factory is what? 35? 20? I've got five percent on my dads car before I gave it to him and it is nice he says it's hard to see at night though.

 

I had 5 on my old truck.. It was Definetly hard to see at night but on my 93 I can just slide the back glass open if need be so that's an option. 5% is what I like goin with
