Headache Racks?
Out of curiosity does anyone run one on their rig?
I know now a days they're all made of aluminum, I don't like the idea of people seeing in my windows so I've considered buying a headache rack for my back window in regards to privacy. I am just questioning if it will affect mpg in anyway on a truck aerodynamically.

They can be steel or aluminum. I've ran them on previous 3/4 and 1 ton trucks but the problem with the 1/2 ton trucks is the weight of the headache rack cuts into the available payload too much. That being said, I have been toying with the idea of building an aluminum rack that would still work with my bed cover. Aerodynamically, as long as it's not too tall or wide, the rack won't affect much.

Hopefully my suggestion helps.
I just am debating if I should get a rack for my back window or tint my windows.
Tint would cost me 195$, while a rack 150$ Aluminum of course.
Some trucks I find look better with them and others simply do not. I neglected to put a back rack on my latest truck because IMO they make your truck kind of look like a work truck. I like a simple, clean look without too much stuff on it.
Window tint does a great job of that too and is quite a bit cheaper.

A headache rack is at 150$ tax in CDN, no bed rails.
Sorry, I always tend to forget that I tint my own windows. $200 is a lot of money, I paid $50 once to have a professional shop do the back window of my regular cab.
Get some good brand tint and try it out, it's not hard. You'll need a box cutter or something of that sort and some soapy water in a spray bottle. Cut your tint to fit, peel the glue side and spray both the window and the glue side of the tint with it and stick it on. Use a credit card to push out the bubbles and it's all done. An hour of work at most.

Good news is I got an update from another shop in my small town, 140$ for all the windows done!
I wanna tint my windows too but since the side ones have scratches on them I'm not sure if tint will stick.. 140$ is a good deal
