Default Gears.

I don't really know about mechanics, just the typical, but what's up with the gears. Changing the gears. What's all that about. If someone could explain. Thanks :F

Compensates for larger tires in your case lol. Generally 35's recieve 4.56 gears. If you had your truck before the lift and tires and compared it to now, its quite a difference in get up and go. Switch to the appropriate gear and bam back to stock or hopefully a little more umph!

Unless you really know what you are doing, it is best to take it to a shop and have it done.

So what if we don't change the gears? Does that affect the truck? I just won't get the acceleration and what not right?

Yes it does affect the truck. Right now your trans is hating life and your engine is having to work harder. Go with some 4.56's and it will be like a new truck and take alot of stress off your truck.
