First. getting stuck in snow on the street is 90% driver error. Bald or summer tires represent the other 10% And that is a stretch because if one were not such a fool one would not drive in the snow with bald or summer tires. Weight and winter tires improve the odds but a skilled driver will be able to keep his vehicle moving on an unplowed street. There are ways to cross the drift left by a snow plow.

As for mud. I am 53 years old and my truck serves as my daily driver, business truck and toy. Not impressive as it is after all a Ford and it can handle all three. It has seen mud and sand on numerous occasions. What ones uses his truck for is like taste. There is no accounting for it.
