I saw the other thread here about the switch of "SYNC providers" from MS to BB, but also noted that it takes effect in the 2015's, and the previous MS versions of SYNC (software and hardware together) are not going to be able to use the new BB SYNC system - which is a shame.

I'm eager to see how the 2015's BB SYNC system is laid out and operates. Lord only knows it's gotta be an improvement.

Can't remember where I read it but even the 2015 will still have MS stync but upgradeable to the new software.

The concept for MS Synch is awesome...execution...meh. Mine, today, stopped recognizing ANY commands for my phone. Wouldn't call someone from my address book, wouldn't dial a number...meh.

it's not the concept of MS SYNC that's awesome ... it's just the general concept of using voice commands and integrating other smart devices into the vehicle's system.

What amazes me is, we have smart devices (phones, tablets, tv's, etc.) all around us that can all talk to each other and work together w/out problems. However, just trying to tell your truck to call your wife can sometimes be a seemingly impossible hurdle to overcome.

That just makes no sense that adding "smarts" to a vehicle can be so difficult ...

I guess I am the only lucky one. My Sync has always worked flawlessly (2010).
Unfortunately I dont think I'd be jumping to the BB bandwagon with any real expectation of improvement. I agree that if you are having issues with Sync... that any solution sounds good. I've simpy had too many BBs in my time (work) that I'd rather go without than ever have to use one again... I guess I'll wait and see if they can come through or if it will simply be a different set of problems.

Nope.

Mine works great (2013) without problems. I don't have a single complaint
