F150 regrets.
You should be thankful you didn't buy a Silverado, they burning oil(depending on what year of course. They also have cheap interior!
You have a super clean truck! Do a couple mods to it to see if it changes your mind.
I found when I get bored with my trucks, I'll buy it a mod, spend a day installing it, detailing and cleaning her up real nice, fill the tank and go for a cruise. Makes you fall in love all over again!
Some ideas
*Lightning or Harley Headlights
*Different Grill( I like the 03 Harley Grill)
*4X4 Lower Valance with Depo Fog Lights
*Wheels(Could find some FX4 or King Ranch wheels cheap)
*Painted Grill Surround
*Exhaust
*Lift/Drop Kit
*Tint
*Newer Style F-150 Emblems(BTW only the F150 emblem has holes behind it, the Triton V8 emblem does NOT have holes behind them.

I daily drove my Jeep Wrangler for 20 years. About a year and a half ago, when the time came to replace it, I was going to buy a new truck. I was looking at new crew cab Tacoma's which are great trucks but not cheap. Just as I had narrowed down my search to a nice looking blue TRD/Sport Edition equipped 4WD crew cab, a buddy of mine who has been a Ford tech for over 20 years offered me his 02 F-150 SCREW. I'm a big fan of GM Musclecars and had never really looked at any Ford products but his truck had only 82,000 original miles and was flawless.
So instead of selling my Jeep privately and buying a new truck with 5 years of payments, I kept my Jeep and paid cash for my F-150. At first I liked it but I wasn't overly into it. It was OK but simply wasn't as nice as the new Toyota I was looking at. So I tossed around the idea of selling it or trading it in on a new Tacoma. Then my wife's daily driver started having issues. So rather than sink a ton of money into a 10 year old car with 120,000 miles, we traded her car in on a new Acura RDX for her and I was kind of stuck with my F-150.
Now that I've had my truck for a little over a year, I love it. I've used it to tow my Musclecar, my fishing boat, and haul a tons of things in the bed. I took my family on a 1400 mile trip in it this summer and had ZERO issues. It goes through the snow without a problem, and has been uber reliable. I just had it state safety inspected this weekend and it passed with flying colors. I've been religious with oil changes and routine maintenance and I installed a nice aftermarket dual exhaust system with a Flowmaster muffler. I wouldn't dream of buying another truck.
Take some time and drive it, you might find that after putting some miles on it that you really like it.
Here's my 02 SCREW. I'm planning on finding some nice 17" FX4 wheels with 17" tires to make it look a little tougher.

Not sure why you would not warm up to it! I had a 98 that I purchased from a friend! Drove it for 3 or so years without any issues, then sold it to another friend who drove it without issues until he wrecked it.
When I bought her she was missing many little interior trim parts and had a bench seat. A trip to the wrecking yard and I came home with a leather bench with arm rest, electric, and all the missing trim pieces!
Show her some pride in ownership and you'll warm up!
Very nice!

Just my humble opinion and I say this after having owned a bunch of vehicles and you mentioned struggling financially as the reason for "settling". My favorite vehicles that I've had over the years were those that didn't have a car note.
