F150 regrets.
Not long ago I bought a like new (except for a few scratches and a ding on the tailgate) 03 XLT f150. It's a great truck, but I just can't seem to get myself to really like it, because I wanted a 4x4 Silverado. But I didn't have any credit and I got a great deal on this. Everyone else seems to like it, and I was hoping someone could give me a reason this is a good truck to have.
Hi there, first of all nice color I like it. extended cab +1. XLT so is it 4.6? How many miles? I had XL v6, 99 model from 160,000 t 212,000. Fuel pump and brake caliper. That's about it, over all, you have a great truck IMHO.
75,000 I do have to give it that, they are good looking trucks. Used to have an 04 f150 with the 5.4 I did love it. The body and interior where great on it.

Definitely a valid point. The trucks are great; reliable, and have potential for appearance wise. For maintenance and servicing... parts are pretty common for these things with how many were built. Give it a little more time. While having a truck you can call your own is great, you'll definitely warm up to it soon enough.
What about it don't you like?
Personally I never liked when the whole round look on trucks and cars started happening and then things went opposite and box cars started popping up.
I think it looks good for it's age and things you don't like you may be able to fix; just not the brand and 4x4 feature.

In time I think that you will see that you made the better choice. I find chev trucks to have really problematic electricals and brakes that just don't last.
I think that in time you will add things like oversized tires, a nice 2" lift, a push bar, maybe some wheel flares and a nice set of rims. Once done you will have one awesome looking truck.

You should be thankful you didn't buy a Silverado, they burning oil(depending on what year of course. They also have cheap interior!
You have a super clean truck! Do a couple mods to it to see if it changes your mind.
I found when I get bored with my trucks, I'll buy it a mod, spend a day installing it, detailing and cleaning her up real nice, fill the tank and go for a cruise. Makes you fall in love all over again!
Some ideas
*Lightning or Harley Headlights
*Different Grill( I like the 03 Harley Grill)
*4X4 Lower Valance with Depo Fog Lights
*Wheels(Could find some FX4 or King Ranch wheels cheap)
*Painted Grill Surround
*Exhaust
*Lift/Drop Kit
*Tint
*Newer Style F-150 Emblems(BTW only the F150 emblem has holes behind it, the Triton V8 emblem does NOT have holes behind them.
