haha California is the next Massachusetts. or already was and has passed it in the gayest state in the US. I know one of my buddies got a $50 fine for having a towing reciever and ball in his truck without towing a trailer. Granted the Statie was a wicked dick and my friend was giving him a hard time too. (got pulled over first for speeding) I hate Mass haha

I didn't save the site, College students documented wind tunnel test results using the same truck for all test.
Tailgate Up was base line, No Tailgate was a small amount worse, Tailgate Down was significantly better, Soft Bed Cover was even Better and then Hard Cover beat all of them. Then after that a custom made angled camper shell was best.

Sorry about going off topic, but what the hell is the reasoning behind that law?

probably someone hit a truck with one and they sued someone and then to prevent more lawsuits they made it a law

My cousin got a ticket for having a ball bolted to the bumper in the left hole. It blocked visibility of the license plate, probably the same reasoning.

I got a ticket in the "People's Republic of California" once for crossing a double yellow line. It was $351, I'll never set so much as a big toe in that state ever agin.
