Default driveshaft issue

how to find out what parts of my driveshaft i need to change out to make a two wheel drive c-6 tranny work in a 1986 f-150,king cab,long bed,4x4 truck.

What do you mean? Is it a 2 peice of 1 peice shaft? And what do you mean when you ask what PARTS? If you got the c6 in, then measure it, search you up one of the length you need but make sure the u-joints match if not you will probably need to get a custom so the joints will match up

Well that's easy. You totally disassemble the 2wd transmission and install a 4wd tailshaft. That's the only way you're going to make it work.

Yea thats right i read that wrong, change tailsection to the correct one for your transfer case
