Brother, if you have panic attacks because AS/S kicks in, you've probably got far more things in life going wrong than AS/S.

That is what I plan on doing. (Jim post #7) Guessing it becomes automatic after a while.

Thats also what I do. It becomes just like putting on your seatbelt. And because I’m used to pressing a button every time I drive, that reminds me to press tow/haul when towing.

Occasionally, I’ll leave it on just to check its functionality.

I get in and drive. If it happens to function on my drive I let it cycle once and then shut it off.

Some times its aggressive, like when I back down my drive way and stop before pulling forward. Sometimes it doesn't engage for the entire trip.

Some trips I get right on the highway so it doesn't have opportunity to engage.

I live near a small town so I turn if off after the first light, most are 30 to 45 seconds so I dont see the benefit.

If I get to a larger city with 2-2+ minute traffic lights I let it work.

Its sometimes a nuisance, but I don't loose sleep over it.

I have the A.S.S. eliminator installed, but I just let A.S.S. do its thing most of the time. I've noticed no issues at all. In very hot or cold weather I'll turn it off to the climate control will keep working at full power when I'm stopped. (And it'll stay that way until the weather changes and I turn it back on again.)

Bought the truck "slightly" used but the Auto start/stop always stay off, makes me think the previous owner put the autostop eliminator in but I haven't checked to confirm.

Permanently defeated, by any successful means.

So you didn't test drive an F150 with it activated? It was one of the first things I disabled on the truck with less than 20 miles on it.
Its especially annoying because my truck has memory seats/steering wheel/mirrors/ seat climate control... and I'm not trying to do a 10 point precheck of useless nannies every time I drive my truck.
Same thing with the drive mode... so $125 later my truck goes back to the chosen drive mode & A.S.S. disabled. It pairs well with the memory seats/mirrors/wheel & climate control and makes ownership more enjoyable.
I also drive a 2019 F150 for my day employment... I bypassed the switch for the cost of a piece of wire and it works well enough for the sweat equity cost.

I did when my battery was stronger, now it's always in a constant charge state so *** was eliminated for me.

It doesn't do anything when its "on"... might as well keep it on unless you look forward to replacing starters & batteries??
