Thanks! Already looking into it. Probably only need 4 camera here and already have an alarm system on the house. However, I agree, it's too damn hot to be in the attic. May just breakdown and pay someone else to install it.

This may be what you are looking for, first one is main site, second is the jimmi jammer, and the third is punch plug.

It has it's own app for smart phones so you have full control, can turn the temp up/down, heat/ac on off, program it to what ever mode we want, turn the blower on/off. Pretty slick.

Easy to install, but does take a while to route all the cables. Have came in handy a couple of times!

Yeah it is nice to be able to log in and have a look around when I'm on break at work, another gadget I have is a Honeywell central hvac remote control, it has wifi built in and connects thru my router the same way so when we leave in the morning we shut off the climate control and can turn it on on the way home so it's comfortable when we arrive.

The nest is a great thermostat, it is significantly more expensive than the Honeywell but is another option for people.
I seriously doubt it can do anything other than FULL control which the Honeywell offers unless it sets up a stripper pole and some 20 y/o ladies for my viewing pleasure when I come home from work.
