Default Compass Calibration

2012 F-150 King Ranch does not have radio buttons above 6. Anyone know the calibration procedure?

Download the PDF of the owner's manual, and hit CTRL+F to Find "compass":

Then you should be done.... Why are you still asking for a procedure that you already have?

Good Question. Did you read the original post? I do not have buttons 7,8,9 on my system. I have a 2012 F-150 King Ranch with voice navigation. Owner manual printings 1,2 and 3 don’t mention a procedure for a system with “only “ 6 preset buttons. I would really appreciate it if you could help to find the correct information for my problem.

Yes, I did read the original post, it was woefully incomplete. If you provided the complete basis for your inquiry in the first place, it would help... not psychic.

The correct information is "For vehicles with factory navigation, there is no calibration."

I will be more explicit from now on with my posts. May I ask, Where are you getting the correct information? I will use it for a reference in the future. Thank you for the help.

Compass calibration is for flux-gate compasses, like the one in a standalone rear-view mirror. The compass on a factory nav system is GPS-based, so it's always recalibrating, every time another GPS pulse arrives (several hundred times per second).

So, back to your original post... WHY do (did) you think the compass needed to be calibrated? Is it obviously wrong at some location where you know what direction you're going?

You are fine. Welcome to the forums. Not everyone here is as confrontational as others try to be.
