Compass Calibration
Compass calibration is for flux-gate compasses, like the one in a standalone rear-view mirror. The compass on a factory nav system is GPS-based, so it's always recalibrating, every time another GPS pulse arrives (several hundred times per second).
So, back to your original post... WHY do (did) you think the compass needed to be calibrated? Is it obviously wrong at some location where you know what direction you're going?

You have to read the whole procedure & pay attention to the context. If it describes something your truck doesn't have (like those buttons), then it doesn't apply to your truck.
Thanks for all the information. Since there appears to be no calibration for voice nav and radios with only 6 buttons then there is nothing more I can do. Hopefully someday it corrects itself. Thanks Mark
