Code Reader
Don't know much about code readers and looking to buy one, not sure which one is a better fit. Will the RioRand do pretty much the same thing as the INNOVA?

If all you're wanting to do is read and clear trouble codes then the first one will do just fine.
What I did was order a bluetooth OBDII adapter that can connect to my phone. Then you can download an app like Torque or DashCommand which will perform the same function as the cheapo handhelds plus a ton more. If you have an android phone this is easy but if you're on iOS then your options are limited to adapters that are "certified" to work with Apple's crippleware.

This^^ Think I paid $11 on amazon for the ELM adapter and $5 for Torque pro. Very handy for a quick code read or to monitor sensors in real time. Best bang for the buck!
.
Sometimes it can be hard to connect the Bluetooth though.
I've got the innova 3130 with the abs update and the Bluetooth adapter for my android...both work well, price wise if its just to read/clear codes get the adapter for the phone..then the app -torque. some fun stuff with this app too..
with both I can read live data as well... take the truck for a drive and see whats happening..
side note I had an older innova had to update to the c.a.n network to work on my old truck 2005 canyon ... looking at innova does the 3030 do c.a.n.
