Default Bug Shield/ Window vents

everyone,

Everyone i need help in selecting a good bug shield and window vent shades for my 2017 f150 crew cab xlt. I do not want the style weather tech makes. I dont like that the vent shade goes to the bottom of the door near the base of the side mirror. I am looking for something smoked in color. Please post pics of your ride and or links to the different products.

I had them on my 06 King Ranch, sorry can't remember the brand. They lasted a long time, but I always had wind and road noise with them. Not adding them to my 14 FX4.

I'll be curious to see if you can find any without the lower angle. I believe that's what prevents the wind noise. I get no wind noise what so ever from mine, but they have the part you don't like. (Wade in-channel)

Pretty much all brands go down to the mirror, except those tacky looking old fashioned chrome ones they used in the 70's. I think they still sell them, see em at truck stops along with all the other bling hanging on a wall.

The ones I chose are AVS low profile.

Looking at my truck head on can't even tell anythings there unlike those kind that bubble out.

Inside out shot. There's about 1/4" between them and the glass.

Got nothing on the bug shield, I dislike the way they look.

My 2015 had a bug shield on it when I bought it. Honestly, I didn't know there was on as it looked like part of the hood. I was surprised as hell when I saw it there. I'll see if there's a brand name on it here in a bit.#

Without going down towards the mirror, you're wasting your time. That front edge reduces wind noise and keeps rain out. I love the in-channel WeatherTech rain/guards.

I also love my AVS AeroSkin. Not the AVS AeroSkin II.

Default Window vents

Always been a fan of weathertech quality but I don't like the way they require the little metal clip/plate for the 17 trucks. I have the black trim which has been noted as being soft/easily scratched and the vents would definitely mar/indent this without some type of barrier. Mine were part of my deal but I have not decided to install as of yet. Just my thought

Are you referring to the small square metal pieces that are supposed to go between the bottom of the front window and the deflectors? I didn't use those. I've had mine for almost a year, and any indention in the rubber molding is so extremely minor. I'll try to get some pictures this afternoon.

As I think you can see, after nearly a year if use, there's no real noticeable negative effects. The deflectors stay very still, so they're not sliding/moving around, causing damage to the truck.
