Anyone else hate modern features?

It might be, but my understanding was that it would re-enable itself after restart. I could be wrong though. Maybe there was an update that allowed this to be shut off permanently.

Didn't want or need power windows til i bought a car with them. Now its a must.
Didn't need cruise control til i bought a car with it. Now its a must.
AC? Didn't need it til i bought a car with it. Now its a must.
Remote adjustable side view mirrors? Never needed that. Now its a must.
Power rear window? A must have now.
Tailgate step? Couldn't live without it.
Backup camera? Can take it or leave it.
Rear window defroster? Comes in handy now and then.
Navigation? I use it sometimes, the verdict is still out whether its worth the extra cost.
Sync? Never use it.
Voice commands? Never use it.
Alert chimes for this and that? A tolerable nuisance at times.
Sirius radio? Been there done that. They can keep it for the price they want.
Start/stop? They can keep that also.
Panoramic roofs? No way.
Leather seats? Nope.
Truck lights up like a Xmas tree when doors are open. WTF is that all about?
Blind spot alert? Would like that feature i think..
Power folding side mirrors. Would like that also.

I hate all these modern features, including: backup cameras, beeping sounds, ***** to assist backing up a trailer, power windows, automatic transmissions, crappy phone integration, crappy GPS integration, crappy music player integration, TV screens, emergency phone calling bull****, cruise control, automatic headlight dimming, automatic engine start and stop, any AI that listens to or talks to me, self-parking, self-driving... and probably more.
I just want a truck that I can be in control of with as little propietary computerized crap, feature creep, a unnecessary complication as possible.
At the moment it seems like my choices for a truck are:
- buy a new piece of **** and disable as much of the crap as possible, or
- buy and old piece of **** and try to patch the rust holes as long as possible, while burning 2-3x more fuel
Anyone else feel in the same boat and how do you deal with this dilemma? Any hope for a return to simpler trucks in the future?
Currently I only have a car. It's much easier to opt for an older car as many of them were actually better on fuel economy than modern cars, they had much nicer designs, and their availablity and condition (at least around here) seems better than older trucks. But alas I am in need of a truck.... Leaning towards an F150 (old or new) as I dislike them less than any of the competitors.

Sync is **** and never works!
Nav? most of the places I go don't even show up on the Nav...I must have the F150 amphibious truck cuz it sometimes shows me in middle of a lake.
Adaptive cruise control? Just stay awake and watch the road...thats what I do.
Back up assist? turn your head!
BLIS should be BS because all it is is an annoying light in the mirror which in traffic is basically on all the time...again...shoulder check.
Someone was commenting on RWD and thats great except most dont work on our trucks - and if it is working chances are your window exploded.
Start Stop - nope dont want it either.
OP...Heres what you want...

I like anything that helps me get the job done. Some of the modern things do and some of it doesn't.
