Default Adaptive Cruise Control

Anybody ever seen/ had this issue with their Adaptive Cruise Control? It’s grayed out in the setting and I can’t choose either one. Plus cruise doesn’t work?? Thoughts?

Do you have Adaptive cruise? My 63k Lariat doesn't!

Yeah my truck is 2016 3.5L Ecoboost Lariat sport with the 502A package. It was sold with adaptive cruise control (confirmed with the dealer). I am the second owner. Sensor seems to be working fine via FORScan I can’t figure it out

Default Ford Cruise unselectable

Have you found a solution? I am having the same issue. Been searching for about a year to find the cause of the grayed out cruise settings. Very frustrating.

Have you added anything to the front end like a bull bar of some sort?

I have had something similar happen to my '17. I haven't figured out why the truck occasionally does this, but one of the symptoms is that the buttons begin to malfunction. I've only had this happen a couple times, but each time I have able to restore ACC to normal function by going to the settings, selecting normal cruise vs adaptive, and then the buttons do work. Once the system is paying attention to the buttons, then ACC can be re-selected in the settings and ACC works again as normal. I actually don't think the buttons themselves are the cause of the problem. Once or twice I've had other buttons on steering wheel seemingly misbehave, but it's certainly possible that the clock spring assembly is beginning to fail. That would be an intermittent failure and might not show as a DTC because the computer module itself hasn't failed, it just can't talk to the buttons and therefore can't receive direction from the driver as to what to do.
