Default 4WD Launching

I've got an 06 f150 with the 5.4l. It's my first 4x4 vehicle and I'm just wondering if I can safely do 4wd launches with out doing damage to the transmission or transfer case... or anything else for that matter. Or should I just stick to 2wd for that sort of stuff.

It can be expensive in 2WD too. These aren't drag cars my friend. Driving them rough can break them. Those who do are normally willing to pay for the repairs.

its my understanding that part time 4WD cars/trucks should be used in loose pavement like gravel, mud, snow, but not really for drives in the city or in the track as it put more pressure on the differential and other things... but i could be wrong...

but if i'm right, then use 4WD if the quarter mile is in mud, dont use it if is in pavement.
