alot of the diesel drag racers do it.

Ive never done it with my F150 but I used to play around with my old Blazer occasionally and launch it in 4wd.

As for 4wd, I can't see why it would be needed unless the track/road/trail/whatever is wet and/or muddy.

I've done it before, but with my new tires they dont usually break lose when i take off, so i don't see a need for 4x4. and when i did i always launched in 4x4 and put it back into 2wd as soon as i get going.

I can't say for sure whether it is bad for the t-case, or not. But, I have seen a few 4x4 turbodiesel trucks running pretty decent 1/4 mile times on the Speed channel shows, Pass Time and Pinks All Out. They all launch in 4x4 and they run like a stabbed rat.

Isn't the truck supposed to back the boat in? I may be crazy, but didn't think it was the other way

Well maybe u should stop being a _______ and learn to read. Hes scared of tearing up his truck and insted of up his truck he should buy a car and then he can still have the truck and the car to race smart .
