Default 3.73 vs 3.53 axle question

Hi, new guy to the forum, great place to be. My question is I am looking at two 150's with eco 6's. One has 373's with 20 " tires and rims and one is 355's with 18" rims and tires. Is the 353's going to get better mileage or will they be the same with the tire size difference?

Some people would rather not blindly follow a strangers advice, especially when you don't explain yourself. Plus, rim size doesn't matter when it's tire size that affects final gear ratio. So there isn't enough information to make any assumptions.

I would go with 3.73s if I buy another truck, hate these 3.55s and can't wait to re gear

Theoretically, assuming same overall weight, height and width of the wheel/tire combo, the 3.73 truck will get lower MPG. But, in my real world experience, the difference in MPG between the two is minimal. The difference in acceleration and road feel is noticeable. Like others, I would take the 3.73 over the 3.55 any day.
