Default Changing The Dash From Kilometers To Miles

If I change the dash display from kilometers to miles, will the calculations on mileage use Imperial or US gallons? I have a Canadian 2012 F-150 built in Michigan.

Thanks

lilcrazyone,

Thanks, that is what I suspected. I was hoping for Imperial gallons. I'm not big on metric.

Yup. Instant 20% increase in fuel mileage - calculate in CDN gallons. I say Ford dropped the ball on this simple conversion. I am sure it was an oversight that be easily could be corrected if they wanted to.

Phyer Phyter,

Thanks for your reply. Yes, it would have been nice to have that conversion.

I guess it's all relative to what you're used to. I appreciate the fact that it's in US MPG because that's what 99% of the people on this board talk about. If it was in Imperial the number would be almost meaningless to me... similar to the rediculous L/100KM that we have in Canada.

2000xl_toronto,

My old mind still relates best to Imperial miles per gallon, so I was hoping the truck would use that conversion if sold in Canada.
