I bought my 2012 Lariat for $30K Cdn and it had 40k miles on it. Throwing it out there for comparison.

Just did the KBB thing. Top value $20,144 USD!!!!
Well, looks like I'll have this for a while yet. That's alright, it looks good and runs good, plus the mods are done.
A bit disappointing though, I'll still be seeing my guy Wednesday. Don't look to do a deal, but who knows.

My 07 trade value was $6,600, the dealer gave me $12,100......they also gave me all incentives and rebates they could and I ended up at 13K off MSRP. I still owed 3K on my truck. That 13K off MSRP is with them paying off my truck and a 6 year/125K bumper to bumper warranty. 29K was financed on a MSRP of $42,225. They have more room to deal than you think.

I was just "offered" $16,360 from 3 dealers within a 100 miles!!!! Naw, don't think so!!!
Yes, what you're saying is true. In combination with the retirees discount, I still haven't trashed the thought yet.
We'll see what my guy can do.

Another comparison.
Was think'n seriously about trading in my then new 11k mile '16 XLT FX4 with nicely loaded options for a new '17 Raptor.
Still had the new car smell and that was back in '16.
$27K is the best they'd do for a trade-in. WTF!! PASS!!
OPer, I think you'd be far better off selling it on your own.

I traded my 2010 crew XL 4.6 4x4, 68k miles, tires were brand new, I had it detailed at an autobody shop for $300. bucks. Then went truck shopping, I got $18.k for a trade. Maybe with you lower miles you might get $20.k or if you get lucky more.

EDIT: They may also take into account the type of climate the vehicle is garaged, no road salt for our non winters.

Maybe I'll kick it around and try a private sale like "moparado" suggested.
Whichever way it goes I won't be overly disappointed. And if all fails, I won't have to play psychology major with Mama!
