Default 27K, for this?

I know all about the ask high, take less thing.
I'm actually thinking of selling this 150, and buying an '18. Thinking about going a little different route with a RWD, lowered a bit, and this and that done to it.
Rough specs on my '12:
5.0
3:55
XLT
SCab, 6.5 box
Have all the stock suspension parts, intake, exhaust, heads and tails, 3rd brakelight, 7 spoke chrome wheels with 75% tires.
All the mods are listed in my "About me" thingy, it's a long list.
58K miles, NEVER beaten offroad, under carriage is proof of that. Topside can be as clean as the day I bought it.

I also realize that the chances of the mods making much difference except to a private sale are close to zero.
Thinking of taking nothing less $27K USD. Is that even a reasonable dream?
Extensive photos in my album, and more if anyone here could be interested.

In Kansas, thats a 27K truck all day every day, should be no problem selling it for that much. But you need to see what the dealer may give you, I was shocked when they offered me what they did.

Ya, it's going to the dealer Wednesday to pick up some parts for the Ranger. My guy there knows I like to kick tires, and if he's not busy, I plan on a sit don with him. I already know where know pretty much where I want to be on a new truck and this one. Problem is, the wife! They rarely understand.

Oh, and I owe thanks to you for planting the idea in my brainpan. How do ya think one similar to yours would look in the new 'magma red" color?

Truth be told, I think 27k on trade in might be a little high. I'm betting the offer from the dealer is closer to 20k. Please get back to us and let us know what they offer you. All I know is, given today's crazy MSRP's- I'll most likely be keeping my truck till the doors fall off, or I'm in the ground.

Well, I hope you're wrong, but I'll find out. Only a couple trucks I've had I didn't turn out to be a loser, in my mind.
I always thought my '12 would be the last new truck I'd ever buy, and if that happens, I'd still be good with it. I get a lot of looks, and comments with it, so that still makes me feel good. And there's still a lot of life left in it. Zero rust, BTW.

Prices will vary from one region to another. But $27k would be a bit high around here. The used market here is flooded right now.

You are welcome! Oddly enough, my wife was all for it. I do think it would look great in Magma Red!!

That's something that could work in my favor, the market doesn't appear to be flooded here. I'm seeing a lot of SUV type, and cars, but not so much trucks, especially 150s.

I'll give you her number, don't forget to mention better mpg's, she's one of those "green types". Oh, and free warranty work!! And a truck that no one has ever smoked in!
Please don't mention mods though.

I've gotta find out about the retirees price on this, I've forgotten what it is.
Also have to ask if I get employees pricing, they hired me to ferry cars downstate a few months ago. I know I can't double dip and get both, but either one would be a big help.

www.kbb.com to get an idea what it's worth via trade in or private sale in your zip code. FWIW I paid $29.9k brand new 0 miles. Also 2wd and super cab which is less expensive to begin with.

When I was looking over the used lot they were asking an average 2k less with 35k miles. Made no sense to buy used for such a small difference in cost.

$27,000 would be high in my area. I just picked up my used 2016 XLT Screw about a month ago for $25,000 and change. There seems to be plenty of trucks on the market right now.
