Talk with Brian at Corwin Ford Tri-Cities. They have some in stock and he ordered me one...not one issue or problem...it arrives next month.

Why would you give up 90 lb/ft of torque willingly? For the sound? I don't get it but glad we all can make our own choices.
Not at all...the sound was not even a consideration. 2 reasons for going with the V8.
1. After the warranty, I want it to be able to be worked on by others. The EB versions have a lot of plumbing under the hood and some expensive stuff will most likely go wrong in the higher mileage years.
2. Ford does not teach their folks to handle things like the old school mechanics did. They plug in and replace what the computer tells them to. They don't rebuild anything or replace difficult to get to parts that make the costs illogical. I tow 5k lbs...the V8 can do that in neutral. (Yes, I know it can't but it was a statement for dramatic effect.)

The EcoBoost is a strong alternative—great torque, good towing, and better fuel efficiency. But if you prefer the sound, feel, and simplicity of a V8, the 5.0 is still hard to beat. It really comes down to your driving style and priorities.
