Are 5.0s available with a 3.55 rear axle? With the 10-speed trans not sure a 3.55 vs a 3.73 really matters to much.

 

3.73 works a bit better for towing. Otherwise, not a huge difference.

 

Nope...can't order it that way. 3.31 or 3.73 for V-8 engine trucks and only can go as high as the Lariat, trim wise. As well, not 2wd with the V-8 for those that don't need, or will never use it.

I wish they would have left the ordering method alone. I had a perfect unicorn...5.0, slick top, 2wd, 3.55 gears, 6.5 bed, leather int. Only thing missing was tow mirrors.

Ordered a 2025 6.5 bed Lariat with 5.0, slick top, 502A, 3.73's and tow mirrors in Star white. Should arrive in late July according to the dealer.
They have a Rapid Red with 3.5 EB with the 501A spec and no sunroof or tow mirrors....tempted.

I have the 3.5 and I am coming from a V10 Superduty. I love the effortless power.

Why would you give up 90 lb/ft of torque willingly? For the sound? I don't get it but glad we all can make our own choices.

 

I ordered a 2025 F-150 Lariat 5.0 liter 501 in mid April.
By mid may my dealer told me that the 5.0 liter engine was "Exhausted", so I changed the order for the truck to the 3.5 liter Ecoboost. (I figured why not try a Ecoboost).
Today I was told that Ford isn't producing F-150's with the 3.5. so I changed it back to a 5.0 liter V8, because now they are available? I have searched the Internet, and I can't find any info on any of this. Does anyone know anything about any ordering constraints? I called Ford this evening and they said they don't have any access to any of this information, that I have to call the dealer. The dealer that I deal with is trustworthy and I speak to the owner only!

 

I changed my order last week to a Black Out Package because I saw one in a parking lot and thought it looked awesome in Star White. Three days later I got a vin number and production date of 8/18/25. Lariat 501 CC, 5.0, BAP, FX4, Pro Access Tailgate, 3.31 ELD, spray in bedliner, wheel well liners.
