Default From Order to Delivery

OK I'm taking the plunge and ordered a 2023 Pro... I know there's a price difference... But I have a plan for that.

I made a reservation back in December 2021. I was able to actually place the order about three weeks ago. My guess is 6 to 9 months before I take delivery.

I would like to know what others have seen regarding delivery time(s).

Hmm good luck! My doctor told me last January he did not make the initial cut for a 22 so he was ordering/moving to a 23. Not sure how many of these they plan to make annually, so I hope the numbers are there for you. Lots of folks ahead of you.

Good luck!

They must have forgotten about me. I made the reservation later on day 1, so if you were able to order from a December reservation, I'm sure my number's come up by now.

@Ptoughneigh That is strange! I did call the 800 number probably about 4 times between the Dec 2021 and June 2022 inquiring about the status of my reservation.. Within the month of that last call, I got the email allowing me to place the order.

@digitaltrucker Yeah I hear you. I ran across a guy in my neighborhood who got his Lariat about 30 days ago. He said he waited a year. I'm hoping that since I'm ordering a Pro and I am my order is being handled through the Fleet channel, it may come up they get in production a little faster... Well that's my hope anyway!

I ordered in May '21 and still have not received delivery (it's been build since Mid-July). But I don't think you can take 2022 experience and apply to 2023. Ford is reasonably good at updating, even if it's 3 months of weekly slips...(it's supposed to be this week, honest...)

@weekdaysailor did you receive your truck yet? If so, when did you finally receive your truck? I expect the 2023 Model line production line to be more efficient simply cause of the lessons they have learned from 2022.

Just came in! (and it's a Pro believe it or not) I'm headed to the dealer later today to pick up. BTW, this dealer - Watsonville Ford in CA, I can't recommend highly enough. No ADM, straight MSRP, easy, frictionless process (Bobbi in fleet sales handled mine, but not sure if that applies to other models). She even called me shortly after I placed my order and refunded the $500 deposit - said they didn't need it (I was an existing customer).

I agree your comment about 2023 vs 2022. Should be much smoother.

I ordered a 2023 King Ranch on 8-30-22 and was told to expect delivery in 4 to 6 months. Last week on 9-15 I received an email from Ford with my VIN and a notice that my truck was scheduled to built the week of October 17, 2022! Assuming this was a mistake, I contacted my dealer and was told it was not a mistake and that my order had "priority"? No window sticker yet.

Update 10-26-22:
10-10-22 Received Ford "Dear John" email, delay due to supply chain issues.
10-17-22 Found window sticker online with blend date of 10-23-22.
10-25-22 Ford tracker shows "In Production 10-24-22". Also, modules are fully populated with a final G on the module tracker.

That's awesome @weekdaysailor ! Please let us know how your delivery went. Was there any issues with your vehicle? How is the vehicle operating? Is it what you expected etc. If you wanna share some photos that would be super cool!!
