Limited Vin Plate P/N?
Hey all, bought a used 2016 F150 Limited. Previous owner decided to keep the vin/serial plate in the console for posterity. Looking to have it replaced - does anyone know the part number? I can find blanks for the previous generation but not the 2015+.
Also, if anyone knows how to decode the serial of the Limited production based on a window sticker that would be awesome! Still running the rounds with Ford to figure it out.
Thanks!
Example of what I'm talking about attached.

Dang! That might be quite the process if the whole console is involved...
I was able to find this for the 2011-2014 model years which is just the metal blank without etching. Figured there might be a part number floating around for the 2015+ trucks. The material looks anodized so it's going to be a challenge to color match. Probably have to talk to Ford to get the right font if they can't reproduce for me.

What do you mean, for posterity? I find that a bit odd... it should go with the truck.
The only time that would make sense is if the truck was in a wreck and insurance say it's a total loss. Have you tried asking the owner again and see if you can change his mind or buy it from him?

I would demand that the previous owner give it to you. That is B/S!
If you bought it from a dealer tell them to obtain it at their expense.

No idea who the original owner(lessee) was. They actually ripped off one of the limited fender badges as well. Wasn’t a loss but did get auctioned. I bought it from a local dealer.
Maybe a repo situation? Will never know for sure! Working on figuring out the font so I can have someone with a glow forge etch a plate for me.

I'm curious how it'll turn out. Most likely it's a special font that you'll have to buy.
