Default what's the difference

I wanna kno what the exact differences are between a 85 f150 and a 85 f250 both regular cab long beds with the 351w 2wd

I kno the 150 is the 1/2 ton and the 250 is the 3/4 ton but whats really different between the 2 other than the emblems

Does the f250 have a better frame or something

The only reason I'm asking is because I'm seriously considering putting a dually rear end on my f150 and putting f250 emblems on it

Springs that will handle a heavier load along with a heavier rear end and 8 lug wheels, the frames might be a little thicker but not certain about that.

Frames are the same, tranny is the same, body is the same, its all about suspension. To bad it still has a ttb. Actually, i think some came with a dana 60 solid up front. But its got a 9" or 10.25" rear end. The leafs are wider. The front coils are stronger. Probably a bigger gas tank.

This^ but since it is 2wd it will have the same Twin I-beam suspension as the 2wd f150 only difference is the 8lug front end and stiffer, thicker coils.

Do you think it would be possible to change all the wheels to 8 lug and get stronger springs

Id really like to convert it to a 3/4 ton

Maybe possible to change it, I've seen people take and use 3/4 or 1 ton parts on 4x4's but IDK about 2wd's.

Good luck

If I'm getting what your saying u can take the 4x4 Dana 60 solid axle and put it in your truck you just won't have 4x4 until you the tyranny transfer case and so on but at least its there for future improvements and the rear is quite simple pretty much bolt on
