Default Transmission type

I have a 1984 f150 manual, 6 banger. I need to replace the clutch, pressure plate and throw out bearing. Where would I find the transmission type or do I need a 10" or 11" clutch assembly?

thanks.

Usually you can crawl under the truck and there should be some sort of I.D. tag and it should say it there. if not.

OR you can tell by the tranny pan, Then you can cross-refrence the pan with this image.

Manuals don't have pans Goofy.

Both will fit but the 11 is better.

The plate on the door may also reference the transmission type.

Just confirm that your parts house has both options in stock, then remove the old one and match it up. Having a good parts house can help a ton!!!
