retread tires for "classics"
I've got a budget classic that I've just acquired and it won't pass inspection without at least two new tires. The stockers are 235/75 15s and the best price in all of web-dom is on the retreads from stonetire.com.
So, have any classic owners used them and have the tires held up or are the stories about where highway alligators come from true? I'll be running around town (Home Depot) with only the monthly highway trip so I figure I won't be putting any tires I wind up with I get thru their paces anyway.

I'm old school, a good used tire with 1000 miles left on it is better than any retread for any price. I know they use them on trailers but I guess that why we are all dodging the caps on the road.
