The cabs are the same on the '86 and '90 trucks, so the dash should go in fine. Some minor mods may be necessary, but since I've never done it I don't really know.

ok the dash is in and most of the harnesses..but i am having a problem with the fuel pump schematics for matching the wires.

on the 86 it had the switch on the heater controls, in the 90 i believe its on the dash by the wiper switch?..

on the diagram for the 90 bronco it says that for single tank trucks there is a jumper in place of the switch . so if anyone can point me to this jumper it would be greatly appreciated. and also will the cruise still work with out the speed sensor?

The jumper was just a part they plugged into the harness instead of plugging in a switch. That way they only have to make one wiring harness instead of a harness for single tanks and a harness for dual tanks. You just need to cut the wires and splice them together.

Connect the sender wire to the gauge wire.
Connect the tank pump wire to the fuel pump relay wire.
Don't do anything with the other wires.

Here is a diagram:

THANX that helped alot. i guess i was over thinking it. and it did not help that the diagram for the 86 i had was for a single tank and the wire colors were wrong .
so now the wiring is done and the engine rebuild begins!
