I was considering this. Seems like it would avoid the hood clearance issue, as well.

Another reason a clear bra is the best way to go.

Sorry OP, I realize I was no help in regard to the question you asked about the trouble closing the hood.

I live local to weather tech bought and returned floor liners and the big guard. They didn’t fit right at all

ended up with husky liners and fit like a glove. Been a weather tech fan for many years till now

Seems to be some variance. The husky floor liners are amazing in my 2021 F150, but the front liners couldn’t even snap in to the posts on my 2017 Expedition.
Bought the wheel well liners for the f-150 and you can see the borders are poorly cut and missed the mark, but look at the ‘15-20 generation thread, and everyone raves about them.

The Weathertech hood shield instructions mention turning the left and right hood adjustment ***** down a turn and a half I believe. One issue I had with my 2020 was the poor fitting screws and inserts, I called Weathertech customer support and they mailed me a replacement set of screws and inserts. If I were you I would call Weathertech explain your issues and let them help you.

I am considering one of these. Is there any space under it for dirt and debris to collect? Since it is put on with tape, figure their has to be some gap and dirt getting under it could really ruin the paint.

Yep - Husky Liners Xact fit are awesome. Had them in my 2016 and loved them. I found a set on Amazon Black Friday sale for 40% off. Now if
ford would just ship my built truck to me I'd be in business.. Built since 12/7 - come on Ford!! LOL

I've used products from both, and used to only buy Weathertech. Now if it's one or the other I'll take Husky every time
