Default Tailgate Damper

Does anyone know if the ford 15-20 tailgate damper that's hidden behind the taillight fits the 21 model trucks?

Get the factory one, it hides behind the right taillight, ball socket for shock is already attached from factory.

I'm thinking about getting one for my 2022. Do they really help ? I see the Dee Zee one for $29.00. How much do you think the regular factory one would be ?

If you have the tailgate step it’s a must have.

I installed the Deezee unit on my 21 RCSB and feel the absorber is barely strong enough for the weight of the tailgate. It for sure controls it while opening, but tends to come down faster that I hoped for.You also need to remove a small tie down bracket that is attached to the tailgate as well. I will more than likely end up ordering the Ford unit.
