Default tail light question

so the right hand tail light on my 2021 Lariat has quit working. The turn signal and brake light and BLIS still work.
I removed the tail light from the truck to change the bad bulb, but I don't know how to get the assembly apart.
There's only 1 electrical connector.
I removed all the screws from the assembly to try and open it up, but it appears the assembly is sealed front to back and I don't want to destroy it.
Any hints how to properly get the assembly apart?
Here's a photo for reference.

The great thing about LEDs is they last longer than incandescent bulbs. The bad thing about LEDs is when they do go out you have to replace the whole assembly that costs 100x more an incandescent bulb.

I hope you have under 36k miles, should be covered by the warranty.

my truck is just under 40,000 km so hopefully it's still under warranty?

Canadian warranty says 3 years or 60,000 km whatever comes first.....going to the dealer tomorrow

  • halogen is a gas they put in incandescent bulbs to make them brighter. I don’t know of any halogen tail light bulbs but if you have taillights with old style bulbs yes they are replaceable.

Wouldn't a bulb be normal wear n tear?

LEDs are not really bulbs and I have yet to see a LED taillight that has replaceable LEDs. So the standard practice is to replace the whole taillight that cost a few hundred dollars for most cars.

Hopefully you're still under the base warranty? After that, tail lights are specifically excluded from warranties that I've seen. -- YMMV of course.
