So, the tail light assembly is covered under the basic 3 year or 60,000 km warranty as confirmed by my dealer today.
Unfortunately it's going to take a few days to get a new assembly.
They told me they have seen 1 other tail light assembly fail on model year 2021's so far.
Glad it's under warranty, the retail price is $1500 CAD.

$1500 is crazy for a failed led, they should make it replaceable, I guess it’s cheaper to manufacture this way? I did have a halogen bulb fail in my former truck, the only halogen bulb that failed after 9 yrs, $3.99 to replace.

so....a bit of an update, the dealer replaced the tail light assembly.....it was working fine when i left the dealer, by the time i got home (approx. 40 minutes later) the new tail light was not working. signal light and brake light functions were still working.
that was on Monday of this week the tail light has not worked, until i started the truck this morning, does anyone have a pinout diagram of the connector that plugs into the tail lamp assembly?
my truck is going back to the dealer today.................i'm not impressed
thanks

Last fall, I noticed that both of my tailights had big chunks of plastic missing. I don't recall hitting anything (trailer) while backing up, but it's about the only way I can think of that happening.

I had to replace both taillights.

Out of pocket.

Yes, they were LED.
