Default Splash shield

After driving in the heavy snow from this last weekend the felt covered cardboard splash shield underneath surrendered just like it did on my prior 2018. Snow and ice builds up on the top and the weight takes it out. I had replaced the one on my 2018 that failed on the same corner with a steel one from a company in Colorado. These cheap splash shields do not work in snow areas and I guess this is a case where the FX4 package would have been better than the Sport package.

I went to my local Ford dealer and looked under a FX4 and I am surprised the splash shield is also the crappy one. I guess I will have to wait for an aftermarket steel one.

Thanks for the direct!!! I stopped by RCI this afternoon. They had the front engine skid plates in stock and the transmission skid plate is 4-6 weeks to delivery. I brought the front skid plates home and put an order in for the tranny skid plate. Also picked up their Fumoto Valve so I don't have to drop the skid plate to change the oil.

Oh, they're still around making stuff then? I haven't had any response back on the forums or their email, i wondered if they were shut down.

I live about 30 minutes away and was close to them yesterday so I stopped by to see if I could look at the products. The front door was locked, but when I pulled the handle a guy let me in. There were 2 sales guys up front working the phones and one went and pulled the engine skids from the warehouse. I could see in the production area and they looked busy. Outside they were taking delivery of metal from an 18 wheeler and currently building a new building behind the existing building. I grabbed a business card from Tim Kurchinski 970-797-3089

I installed the 2 front skid plates yesterday. Easy install by myself. I currently have the lower retractable air dam removed due to a malfunction. At some point when it went to retract it snagged on the upper fixed air dam and wouldn't retract. The dealer has both on order to replace under warranty. I confirmed the retractable air dam will fit in front of the skid plate.

Thanks for the info. Is there any way you can post pics of the access to the oil filter and drain valve they offer?

The transmission skid plate was not in stock and has to be manufactured. It will be 4 to 6 weeks. The fumoto valve drains straight down and there is an access plate in the skid plate held in with 2 screws.

How far back does the engine plate go with reference to the drain plug?
