Default Software update won't install

I've searched as best I can but couldn't find what I'm looking for.

My 2023 has and update pending for the locks and windows. Since it became available it fails the update with an message that says the update was postponed due to being interrupted by another process. I have tried to get the update to run with/without WiFi active, manually and via the normal schedule and it always fails the same way. I had the truck into the dealer today to have them run the update. I was told they thought it had installed successfully but as soon as I got in the truck the display showed the install error. Also when this occurs rather than immediately seeing the 75th Anniversary splash screen it stays dark for a few seconds as if the system is rebooting. I've got another appointment for the dealer to look at it but to be honest I don't have the free time to make multiple visits as they try to figure out what's wrong.

Is there any way I can get better information about what process is interrupting the update?

Is there someway to cancel/reset the pending update so it will start with a fresh copy of everything?

Thanks.

Interrupted by another process means the 12v battery is below specs. If you have a battery charger, fully charge the 12v battery and manually try to install it once the battery is fully charged. If it still fails, then reset the BMS and try it again.

Thanks for the reply.

Would it still be the battery charge level after I've come home after a highway drive of an hour? A couple of manual install attempts were done after getting home from a hwy trip.

How would I go about resetting the BMS?

That should be enough charge, but for sure that's the reason for interrupted for another process. BMS reset is done as per the video below. However, a BMS reset should only be done if you know the battery is 100% charged.

OK. Thanks.

I'll dig out my charger and see if that gets the update to run and if not repeat charge and reset BMS.

I recently had a failing update case, and I got it fixed by not only charging the battery, but also by restarting wireless gateway module using Forscan

I charged the battery. According to my charger the level was somewhere between 40% - 60% (it only measures in 20% increments). After it had a full charge I retried the update and it failed the with the same error. I decided to put the battery back on the charger and it was showing a 60% to 80% charge after a few hours of sitting. I brought it up to a full charge again and attempted to do a manual reset of the BMS. I never did see the battery symbol flash even after I tried a couple of time so I assume it didn't reset. I decided to check the battery charge level and it had dropped below 100%.

I haven't had the truck 2 years yet could the battery be going bad? My concern is if I take it to the dealer under warranty it will test out fine and I'll still be in the same spot I am now.

The OEM batteries do not have the best reputation for their longevity, so it's a possibility.

2023 owner, built 1/3/24, had a similar battery issue noticed this year. SOC on forscan was 56%, charged and reset BCM and after a number of weeks it was down to 60%.

just replaced myself, easier than headache loosing vehicle for the day. No software updates since.

when my I did was you have been guided too, a manual install failed, but an overnight attempt was successful.

Before I go off and spend a couple of hundred dollars I decided to give this one more try. I disconnected and charged the battery. Due to the charge time I believe this would also reset the BMS. I then hooked everything back up. The update is scheduled to run tonight.

I also went ahead and tried the manual reset from the video. For my vehicle the battery light will not flash to show the reset is complete while in accessory mode. I figured I would start the truck and the battery light flashed three times then turned off. I don't know if it has to do with the model year or that I have the push button start but it appears for my truck I have to start the engine to complete the BMS reset.
