Default Smart scale weight?

Anyone have info on how much weight the Smart Scale with Smart hitch option adds to the truck?

I find this info very nice but do not know what the added weight for this feature will be.

Would have to assume it is sensors in the suspension and/ or part of the towing hardware and does not weigh much.

Right. It's not a scale, it's sensors and computes it. https://media.ford.com/content/fordm...simplify-.html

Thank you fellas, I am going to call my sales rep to add it then since it’s minimal weight.

the weight wouldn't be significant anyway, don't bother. <!--td {border: 1px solid #ccc;}br {mso-data-placement:same-cell;}-->Tbh most of these smart
body scales body scales
are just a marketing scam that companies made up to get people interested in their products. Which isn't entirely wrong of them to do that. It's just that you shouldn't trust these scales too much. Why don't you just buy a normal body scale instead? That way you'll be able to keep track of your weight way better. There's no more body fat percentage that will freak you out every morning, lol

I think you can easily find out how much the scale itself weights if you search for it on the internet. Choose your brand, and Google it. I am sure you will find something useful there. If talking about scales, I bought a weight scale for my house not so long ago. It is a useful thing to have in your house. I bought a smart scale, and I am pleased with everything. Check it out by yourself if you are interested. I am sure you won't regret anything if you buy it. Moreover, you can get a discount.

Looked at the smart ride height sensors that the 502a and up trucks have for the fancy headlights.

After owning a 1998 Limited Explorer that had similar sensors for the Air Suspension system and racking up over 200k on it walked away just hanging & shaking my head, the da#m fools are at it again.

Finally had enough of it and removed the Air Struts and replaced them with a coil Spring Strut system.

Wouldn't recommend buying any vehicle with any type of smart ride height sensor on it.

Just give this a few years for the why does my F150 have Cross Eyed headlight posts to start to show up. Or better yet why is the truck looking for alien space ships instead of the roadway.

Yes. Make purchase decisions based on tech that was used 24 years ago.

Er the OP was looking at the smart scale that "weighs" the hitch load using the taillights as indicators,

Yes as the arms and sensors looked like the same type unit. Computer logic is only as good as the inputed information.

Same arms and sensors do both the alignment of the headlights and the scale functions. The same input to the CPU, CPU just determines how it used.

10 years now on spring struts no issues vs a life of oh heck here we go again.
