Same arms and sensors do both the alignment of the headlights and the scale functions. The same input to the CPU, CPU just determines how it used.

10 years now on spring struts no issues vs a life of oh heck here we go again.

This isn't anything auto leveling or air suspension related.... we get it you hated your 25year old air suspension, with poor computer processing, first gen calculations, etc. A mid range cell phone from today has more processing power than your entire 98 expedition, and the inputs are exponentially better, and calculations are much more accurate. Hence CCD, anti glare headlights, adaptive steering, etc.
