Got my truck lifted yesterday. Good shop, good reputation. Then this morning I went to play around with the adjustments and see this amateur crap. Makes me lose all trust in the install at this point. The adjustment **** is rubbing heavily on the metal (frame?), can't even adjust, its pressed against it solidly. With the unknown amount of pressure exerted on the ****, is the shock compromised now? I'm bringing the truck in first thing Monday, but I'm wondering if I should have them replace the entire shock. This is some bs.
Geez, rookie crap! All he had to do is rotate the shock 180. If the adjuster isn't broken, just marred up, likely you could get a new **** from Fox.
Seems like this happens far too often these days. I know shops have a hard time finding ANY technical people, but at the least they need to not screw things up that cause damage.
Looks like they should have rotated the reservoir so it faced the front of the truck.
it is facing the front of the truck, they should've rotated it backwards. i really hope they don't give me some static and just replace the entire shock with a new one. these guys are the only wholesaler in my state for BDS and install these kits all day long. absolutely should not have happened.
