I've been having the exact same issues on this for about 2 years now and just called the dealership with that TSB number. They said they would have to charge me "however" long it takes to do this. And found out when I purchased my lease to a loan, they sold me an aftermarket warranty after specifically asking for a FORD warranty.

 

If you have FORScan, I can try to help you fix it yourself.

 

I've been wanting to use FORscan but I get so nervouse because I don't want to damage anything. Have you fixed this issue before?

 

Yes. This is a confiuration issue. I would need to VIN to pull the config from Ford.

 

@Toritilla3.5 I got your message, but responding here for the sake of the info being out there. In your case, the APIM is properly configured for the rear camera button to work. This may be a hardware issue and if that is the case, there is not much I can help you do remotely.

 

Soit could be the button or an actual module?

 

If the camera turns on when you put it in reverse, then it could be the button itself.

 

@Toritilla3.5 I had a second set of eyes look at the config on your truck. There is a thing or two we can try. If you end up getting FORScan, lmk.

 

I will ty to download it onto my laptop tonight and get the adapter.
