Any idea what the TSB is? I've been back and forth with my dealer and they want to replace the switch, but I KNOW it's software related.... because pressing the button at speed gives me the warning, but below 8mph the button does nothing.

 

they didn't charge me. He put it under warranty

 

 

THANK YOU!!!!! I've been chasing this since February; I'll hit them with this and hopefully it can get worked out.

 

Stuff like this is concerning. If I am understanding the chat, Ford at times will send out an update to software and it caused the camera button to stop working and to get it functional again required a visit to the dealer? Luckily it was handled under warranty BUT what happens 5 years from now when it is out of warranty?

I'm not the one whom you requested the information from. However I just found your post and I'm having the exact same issue and have failed at every turn trying to fix it. I even had a Ford dealership just outside of Denver, Colorado send me a new button thinking it would do the trick, however, after the installation of that button I'm still having the same issue.

My local Ford dealership is the the Ford of upland and that is located in upland, California

read the TSB above you. You need a software update; it fixed mine.

thank you for this!! I brought my 2021 stx in with 55k miles (I have the ford esp). End result is they put a new battery in the truck for FREE & updated a bunch of modules. End result it the button now works.
