I'd take a warranty replacement should the dealer be willing to do it. Not only could I push off my having to buy a new one but the only way Ford will improve things is if warranty costs exceed expectations.

My battery stopped keeping up around 2 years but since it still tests well at the dealer they will not replace it. Since it is likely my battery will be out of warranty by the time the dealer agrees it is bad I plan on going after market.

I think a reason I may have less luck is because I have a loaded Platinum so it's draw on the battery is much more than a standard battery. I did turn off the auto start/stop.

Guessing my 2025's (bought in Dec 2025) battery had some internal failure. Returned from a road trip Sunday night, parked in the driveway happily, and then today the truck was dead. No warnings on the app, or anything. 5.68V across the terminals. Hope it is just the battery.

Batteries do not get that low without a load on them. A typical failed battery with an internal short that will drop voltage to around 10.5v.

That had been my previous experience as well, so I'll make sure to ask Ford to look for any modules that aren't turning off. I don't have anything plugged into a plug except for my dashcam, and it cycles off when power is turned off. So, in case that was staying hot I still can't imagine that could pull down the battery in just 3 days. But, it isn't as if I've never been wrong.

Depending on the starting SOC of the battery, my guess one or more of the CAN busses were awake by some module. So if it is still active, would be easy to see a bus being awake. Just hope it isn't an intermittent issue.

Replaced mine at four years old. It wasn't dead but weakness was starting to show. I now monitor charging Voltage, amperage, and SOC.

2020 XL purchased November 2020 new. Today battery is exactly 5 years and 6 months old. Mostly garaged but sits in the high desert heat.
Truck only has 42,000 miles and is not a daily driver.
Sometimes truck sits for 2 weeks. Cranks strong. Haven't had deep sleep message for a long time.
It's got to be close but I'm a cheapskate and never far from my house, have AAA. Change it early? Heck no.

I think the 14th Gens have quite a bit more trouble than the 13th Gens. Glad yours is working so well for you.

I replaced my battery this year, truck was built in January 2021. Started to show funny little issues.
