Costco sells Interstate batteries, most of which are also made by Clarios.

I just had my battery replaced under warranty and the intermittent issue of the rear brake assist warning I was getting seems to have disappeared. That may explain why it was intermittent, maybe driving longer may have charged the battery longer IDK

I generally recommend getting the best warranty/cost battery regardless of location. However, I believe a smidge better battery is made East Penn/Deka which for aftermarket is sold in NAPA stores. At one time East Penn did supply batteries for the F150 but Ford's purchasing globalization/balancing suppliers went 100% with Clarios.

However, as BadAV has noted, driving behavior along with cold temps, the BMS charge mapping and Start/Stop will take a toll on any battery, any size.

👍 I believe East Penn also makes the Duracell batteries. Sam's Club sells them.

Hey BadAV. Thanks for the info. I did not know Clarios made both this battery. My next step is to find if the build specifications are the same. Most likely they are and it comes down to labeling.

Same here with wife's 2023 Edge. It started giving the power down message. Went to Auto Zone bought the premium 5 yr 285.00.
Note: if you have never changed out the battery, take the air filter housing off first and be-careful of the sensor fittings. It will save you from cussing out Ford Engineers.

Just put a Costco Interstate H8 in my 22 STX. was tired of the "Shutting system off to save battery" message. I don't drive my truck everyday.

I think my H6 battery is starting to go right at 2 years old. It's still under warranty so my conundrum is do I take the free replacement or pony up for a new one for a different brand. Or at least see if they will let me pay more for an h7 or h8.

My guess is you will only be allowed to take an H6 replacement. Which you should do, as you may get a good one.

I have had my H6 battery for my XL supercrew 5.0 for 3 years now with zero problems. I guess i got a good one. I will upgrade to a bigger battery when the time comes.
