I tried to get my utility trailer to connect to Pro Trailer Backup.. My 2019 worked perfectly and I entered the dimensions. On my 2021 there is not a way to enter the dimensions and as per the manual and directions that were with the stickers all I have to do is place the sticker and the truck will set it up after driving at 5MPH. The truck does not recognize any sticker. Anyone have better information regarding setting it up?

 

 

This video does not how to setup with the sticker. I did see one on YouTube but it is not for the 2021 and the on screen instructions are not showing up

 

My 2021 does not have stickers. It has a yaw sensor you plug in below the 7 pin and hook it up to your trailer. Previous years had the stickers. 2021 does not that I’m aware of. I can speak with absolute certainty of my own truck, there are no stickers. To use the pro trailer back up you must use the yaw sensor.

 

Stickers did come with my truck. Guess I will have the dealer set it up. I tried to chat with Ford service today and they were ZERO help

 

I’ve read multiple threads on several forums. The system isn’t working with stickers . . . yet. It does work well with the sensor. One post mentioned a software update late in the year.

I was able to setup a trailer on the screen and enter my dimensions. The sensor that came with truck is attached to trailer and backup works when engaged.

 

had to back up my TT onto its parking pad a few weeks back and forgot about the pro trailer stuff. hrmph, guess I don't need it since it went better than when I used my SD. This F150 makes it easy peasy.

Does anyone know if you can place the pro trailer assist sensor on the inside of the tongue on a travel trailer? My WDH bars do not allow for it to be on the outside of the trailer tongue.
