Thanks a ton for the update. I threw another code today after the one last week cleared itself. Given the lack of power I would suspect the wastegate (or sensor) is the issue.

Hopefully that resolves it for you. Did your dealer fix it for free or did you have to pay, and hope for eventual reimbursement if/when Ford issues a fix?

Dealer fixed for free. Definite showed loss of power while waited for the dealer to let me know they had the part. I believe as long as its open your fine.its when its closed its not good to run.

Post #25 on this thread can get you going again while you wait on parts.

New intermittent problem with 2.7 EB - Page 3 - Ford F150 Forum - Community of Ford Truck Fans

Same issue here 5x since I took delivery. The wastgate problem, along with the sqeaky brakes and frozen AC..... Kinda still wish I had my 18!

Hi there! I can look into your F-150’s concern on my end. To get started, could you please send a private message over with the name/location of your local Ford dealer and your F-150’s VIN?

Any help is appreciated. I tried to send you a PM but the forum says your stored messages exceed the storage limit. Must be busy!

2022 xl 2.7 eco boost. Pretty frustrating I’m having the same trouble as many In this thread. Was driving 45 mph and had a power reduced with powertrain malfunction and a service eng notification. Called dealer and they can’t get me in for another 2 weeks. They couldn’t tell me if it was safe to drive without doing more damage. Bought the truck new with only 6 miles on it and I have 5000 currently. Most of my driving is highway.

Hi there. This powertrain concern doesn’t sound like something we want you to experience with your F-150. Could you please send us a PM with your VIN and the name and location of your Ford dealer? I'd be happy to look into how I can assist you on my end.

I'm having the same problem on my 2021 F-150. "Powertrain Malfunction / Reduced Power" I am getting this on my 2021 F-150 with 11,000 miles. Has anyone figured out the fix?

Hey. I’m having the same problem. I private messaged you. I don’t trust my local dealer as they have tried to charge me for warrantied work before.

Can you help please?

it ended up being a loose wiring harness under the center console between the front seats!
